MOURNING FLOWERS (SUPPORT)

Mourning Flowers is an art project that brings awareness to the ripple effects of trauma and fear that communities sustain after acts of violence.

“It is really beautiful and powerful work. It’s a sort of emotional, yet logical … Intimate, yet expansive culmination of many themes you explore in your work.” Ali Cashman

I am now raising funds to expand the 🤟🏽(ILY) Gardens beyond the proof-of-concept stage, ensuring the project can take root as a long-term, accessible public space for healing and connection. These funds will support the next phase of design, community planting and maintenance along the Lewiston–Auburn riverfront. This work continues my long-standing commitment to building community through art. The Gardens invite everyone—especially those often left out of art-making or art-experiencing—to participate, creating a shared space of natural beauty, resilience, and relationship across the Lewiston–Auburn community.

Here’s how you can support this effort:

· Donate Online (tax deductible) Mourning Flowers is a fiscally sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a 501(c)(3) charity. Contributions made payable to Fractured Atlas for the purposes of Mourning Flowers are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

· Mail a check (tax deductible) made payable to Fractured Atlas with Mourning Flowers in the memo line, to Tanja Hollander, PO Box 805, Lewiston, ME 04243

· Plant with us! Community planting days will be announced in the spring via e-mail (make sure you’re signed up for my weekly emails) and on social media.

· Purchase artwork (not tax deductible)
